About Me
Hello, my name is Daniel Brim, as my banner shows. I am 19 years old and I am a Mechanical Engineering major at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. I technically live in the Los Angeles area, although I only spend time there when school is not in session. I made the basis of the design for this site with dbphoto.biz, which was a failed experiment in selling photography. I moved the domain here so I could expand the site's material and so I could get rid of the stupid .biz extension.
About my Art
"Every image embodies a way of seeing. Even a photograph. For photographs are not, as is
often assumed, a mechanical record. Every time we look at a photograph, we are aware, however
slightly, of the photographer selecting that sight from an infinity of other sights... The
photographer's way of seeing is reflected in his choice of subject" - John Berger, "Ways of
Seeing"
One major section of this site is my photography. I take photos of whatever I see artistically
pertinent at the time. In my gallery, you will
see some examples of this. I love basing the photography around subjects, but occasionally I'll
take photos where the landscape itself is the subject. This photography is an embodiment of my
way of seeing things. The images themselves come from a variety of locations, as I carry my
camera with me even while travelling.
All photos and content are copyright me unless otherwise specified. Please do not
reproduce anything on this side without my permission.
